About the work
The Woman with Figs is an etching and soft-ground with open bite and selective wiping, printed in green-black ink by Paul Gauguin, dated 1894, printed 1899. Paul Gauguin (1848–1903) was a French Post-Impressionist who worked with flat colour and simplified forms, first in Brittany and later in Tahiti.
