About the work

Weasels at Play is an oil on canvas by Franz Marc, dated 1911. Franz Marc (1880–1916) was a German Expressionist who founded Der Blaue Reiter with Kandinsky. He painted animals in symbolic colour. The original is in the collection of National Gallery of Art, Washington.
