About the work

Baby (Cradle) is an oil on canvas by Gustav Klimt, dated 1917–18. Gustav Klimt (1862–1918) was an Austrian painter and a co-founder of the Vienna Secession, known for ornament, gold and the human figure. The original is in the collection of National Gallery of Art, Washington.
